R help - Apr 2003 - New user having problem with mcmc

I get the following error when I try to use mcmc.  It occurs at the end of
the first chain.

Error in cov(x.mon[2:m1, ] - x.mon[1:(m1 - 1), ]) :
        supply both x and y or a matrix-like x

Any ideas?

Could it be that  x.mon[]  has only one column ?

I'm not familiar with the package, but I would try
running a more complicated example that would have
at least two columns in  x.mon[].  Also, read the
help, or write to the package maintainers directly.
