R help - Dec 2002 - filter on data frame

Hello R-list.
Someone know how to delete  rows on a char/num matrix
following some criteria without a loop (something like: my.matrix[my.matrix
[,4]<1e-5],
but this one put within rows, that follow citeria, "NA")?

How about subset and is.na?

5  5 <NA>
6  6 <NA>
7  7    a
> subset(df,!is.na(V2))
  V1 V2
1  1  a
2  2  b
3  3  f
4  4  g
7  7  a

Is this what you want?
> tt <- matrix(1:20, ncol = 4)
> tt
     [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4]
[1,]    1    6   11   16
[2,]    2    7   12   17
[3,]    3    8   13   18
[4,]    4    9   14   19
[5,]    5   10   15   20
> tt[tt[,1] < 3, ]
     [,1] [,2] [,3] [,4]
[1,]    1    6   11   16
[2,]    2    7   12   17
