I would like to write a stand-alone application (in C) using R's statistical and graphical capabilities. To make it more challenging I would have to do it using Windows 2000 platform. I seem to remember that R can be compiled into a library of subroutines and linked to an external program. Is this true or is my memory playing tricks on me? I scanned the FAQs and the "extensions" manual but could not find anything about it. Thanks in advance for any info on this subject, Andy __________________________________ Andy Jaworski Engineering Systems Technology Center 3M Center, 518-1-01 St. Paul, MN 55144-1000 ----- E-mail: apjaworski at mmm.com Tel: (651) 733-6092 Fax: (651) 736-3122 -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !) If you are willing to be restricted to the Windows platform ONLY for this project, using Thomas Baier's R-(D)COM Interface server is a possible way to go. It is available in the Other section on CRAN. apjaworski at mmm.com wrote:>I would like to write a stand-alone application (in C) using R's >statistical and graphical capabilities.
