I order both via Springer and got them in a matter of days. Go directly to the publisher at http:www.springer-ny.com. The URL for Peter's book is: http://www.springer-ny.com/detail.tpl?isbn=0387954759 HTH. Not sure why, but Amazon seems to be having problems with these books of late. I had two other new books published by Wiley (i.e. Agresti 2nd Edition) that I wanted and had similar delay problems with Amazon. I ended up ordering from Wiley directly and they came within days. Hat's off to Peter and V&R for two great additions! The author's copies arrived Wednesday, so a little more patience would seem to be required. It has been shipping from amazon.com for a few weeks. At least Roger Peng would seem to have received one from that source ;-) I almost suggested that you'd try Springer Heidelberg, but it has fallen off their site, and is now only listed under forthcoming titles there ("due September"). It had a page before and they'll be pushing the book quite a bit with a promotional bookmark and favourable price, so it is a bit odd, but I suppose that they too want to receive their shipment before trying too hard to sell it. -- O__ ---- Peter Dalgaard Blegdamsvej 3 c/ /'_ --- Dept. of Biostatistics 2200 Cph. Hello all: Have any of you succeeded in getting hold of Peter Daglaard's book, "Introductory Statistics with R"? I have placed an order some weeks ago with AMAZON.CO.UK and it appears I must wait another 6 weeks before delivery.
