"Modern Applied Statistics with S" (4th Ed), by Venables and Ripley,
is a
good start. It has a chapter on Time Series. However it was published in
July this year so your library may not have it yet. If that is the case,
try "Modern Applied Statistics with S-plus", which is the 3rd edition.
