R help - Sep 2002 - QUEST algoritm in R?

AFAIK, the author(s) of QUEST have not made source code available.  Unless
someone does a parallel implementation, incorporation into R is not
possible.

I guess the situation is similar with CHAID?

It would not be difficult to write an R interface to run the executables
through function system (at least on Unix/Linux), with configuration file
and input files prepared from within R.
