Version 0.6-0 of the ipred package has just been released on CRAN.
The DESCRIPTION file:
Package: ipred
Title: Improved Predictors
Version: 0.6-0
Date: $Date: 2002/09/27 08:07:29 $
Author: Andrea Peters <Andrea.Peters at imbe.imed.uni-erlangen.de> and
Torsten Hothorn <Torsten.Hothorn at rzmail.uni-erlangen.de>
Maintainer: Andrea Peters <Andrea.Peters at imbe.imed.uni-erlangen.de>
Description: Improved predictive models by indirect classification and
bagging for classification, regression and survival problems
as well as resampling based estimators of prediction error.
Depends: rpart (>= 3.1-8), MASS, mlbench, survival, nnet, class
License: GPL
Major changes since 0.4-6:
o parts of the code have been completely rewritten.
o added bagging for censored data.
o the Brier score for censored data (Graf et al., 1999) is
available in function `sbrier' and can be used
to measure the prediction error in survival problems.
o bagging is roughly 50% faster now.
o stabilised linear disciminant analysis (`slda') implemented.
o some datasets were added, especially those used as
examples in R News (2002, 2(2), 33-36).
o cross-validated predictions can be computed: useful for
estimating sensitivity and specifity, for example.
o the package now has a small vignette with some examples.
The authors would like to thank Guenther Sawitzki and Antony Unwin for
helpful comments and suggestions.
Regards,
Andrea
