[R] Setting the size of a plot

Dear R-List,

how can I set the size of a plot. It seams, that the default is always
dina4 -papersize, but I would like to plot in an 8x8cm window....
how can I realise that

See "papersize" in ?options and the argument "paper" in
?postscript.
