My name is Edoardo and I am working in the Molecular Oncology Unit at Cancer Research UK in. I am a biologist and the project I am involved in is based on gene expression profiling using cDNA microarray technology. This technique produces a big set of data that require sophisticated methods of analysis. In particular, there are some interesting packages in R (sma, mcluster, yasma, etc) that are very useful tools for such kind of statistical analysis. I have already begun to use those packages, but my limited knowledge of R diminished the possibility for more extensive analysis of my data. I would really appreciate if anyone could suggest how I can improve my skills in programming and using R. Do you know if there are any courses available here in the UK or other part of Europe or USA? Thank you very much for your help.
