Hi Jason, Since you need immediate results, I recommend that you use the MacOS version of R instead. The R web site has a Carbon OS X version that is much easier to install and use than the Darwin version. I have been using the Carbon version in my data analysis and I haven't encountered any bugs with read.table or anything else.
