Dear all, I am looking for a way to read tiff data into R (this could be something the pixmap package users could find intersting). I could not find anything related but I suspect something to exists...somewhere... is it really the case ? > I am looking for a way to read tiff data into Re1071 used to have read.pnm() for pnm images (perhaps after application of ImageMagik's convert(1), if you're on a Un*x system). Unfortunately, I can't find read.pnm() after an upgrade.packages() or two. Looks like e1071 doesn't have it any more. Anyone know where to get it? I think this is best left to an external tool, none of which are (AFAIK) comprehensive. AFAIR, pdftex took out tiff support after a while for exactly this reason. -- Brian D.
