The authors are the original authors (Becker and Wilks). I merely
ported their code to R (with their permission), as much of it as was
necessary for my purposes. The projection sources are included so that
if anyone wants those for their purposes, they may fix them and make
them available to all.
Note: the thinning code does not work either, there is no version of
the package for Windows, and the databases are only available as
platform-dependent binaries [hence the package is not available on
CRAN].
