No (see 3) below). There are lots of things called pk(un)zip. I have
little idea which you mean, as pkunzip is not widely available these days
and the last version I saw was a DOS program from 1993. Later versions
have different names, e.g. PKZIP 4.5 for Windows (or Unix or OpenVMS).
There are much more widely used commercial offerings (ZipMagic, WinZip,
ZipIt, ...).
No unzip program I have access to does multiple unzips like that. I also
suspect that pkunzip may not unzip the packages from CRAN: some versions
definitely do not. However, using pkunzip seems the hard way out as
1) You can select all the packages at once in RGui's list.
2) You can also use install.packages directly, as in
install.packages(dir("c:\\zipfolder\\*.zip"))
3) After installing packages you need to run some updates: see the rw-FAQ.
1) and 2) do that automatically.
