Dear R''s I have a question about the output from cancor. Using a matrix x of dimension (nxp1) and a matrix y of dimension (nxp2) with p1 < p2 I get p1 canonical coefficients (as expected) and a p1xp1 matrix of x-coefficients (as expected) and a p2xp2 matrix of y-coefficients. Here I would have expected a p1xp2 matrix Aren''t the y-coefficients the coefficients of the p1 linear combinations? Could anyone explain the p2xp2 matrix entries? Thanks in advance for some guidance *********************************************************************** Jens Nieschulze Institute for Forest Biometrics University of Goettingen -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
