[R] SAS to R translator for particular procedures (fwd)

Proc IML - interactive matrix language) and convert it to R. A primary motivation for such a tool would be an escape from proprietary license license fees and labor savings from not having to translate character by character manually. Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !) This would be really useful, since there still seems to be a lot of people in some user communities who rather "publish" SAS/IML than S (here meant as language, with R and S-plus as dialects). We also may find that R needs new features and many(?) of us will help you with some of these. Probably you should aim for something that (in the beginning) works for about 90% of the cases, but make sure that one gets warnings (and the original SAS code as R comments) for the remaining 10% ...
