Hi, Maybe somebody could help me with my problem installing R on my PowerBook G3/292 with MkLinux DR3 installed on the internal HD: When installing R with rpm -Uhv R-base-0.63-3.ppc.rpm I got the following message: /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.47537: [: !=: unary operator expected /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.47537: /bin/R: no such file or directory execution of script failed error: R-base-0.63-3.ppc.rpm cannot be installed Nevertheless, R was installed and is running When I repeat installation: rpm -Uhv R-base-0.63-3.ppc.rpm I get the message; package R-base-0.63-3.ppc.rpm is already installed However, when I try to delete the package rpm -r R-base-0.63-3.ppc.rpm I get the message: package R-base-0.63-3.ppc.rpm is not installed When I tried to install R-contributions with rpm -Uhv R-contrib-1998.11.20-1.ppc.rpm I got the following message: Can?t find R base in /lib/R execution of script failed error: R-contrib-1998.11.20-1.ppc.rpm cannot be installed So, it seems that the rpm database is not updated and I am not able to install R-contrib-1998.11.20-1.ppc.rpm (It did not help to install /bin/R and /lib/R by hand) So can anybody help me and tell me how I can install R-contrib? If I want to remove R, where can I find which files I have to remove by hand? > Hi,Currently, I am working with S-Plus on Win95, but I have now installed R on my PowerBook G3. Now I have the following questions: 1, How can I see large tables? When the table is a matrix, I can use "data.entry(ma)", however, when the table is a "data.frame" this seems not work. 2, How can I scroll to the end of the table in this "data.entry" window? (e.g. with 10,000 rows) The keys <fn>-page up/down and <fn>-end don?t work (although they do work when I am using e.g. the midnight commander mc) 3, How can I see which functions I have defined in R? Note: One of the most useful features in S-Plus for Win95 is the "Object Explorer", which shows me all objects, i.e. lists, matrices, etc., but also results of calculations, and also all functions, which I have imported or defined, and which I can open upon double clicking. It would be great, if a similar feature would exist in R.
