I am using image() with col=gray(31:0/31). These are "reversed" grey levels where black=biggest z-value. The problem is that the lines with form a box around the plot are not all these. Only the bottom and right sides have lines; the others are missing. I wonder if this is due to the white cells of my image plot slightly overlapping with these lines and thereby wiping them out? I tried adding bty = "o" to image() but it didn't do anything. Thanks very much for any help.
