I realize this isn't quite the correct forum (but then I don't think
that there is one).
Anyways, I've just been given enough money to hire two programmer for
at least two years to work on the following project:
(for experienced programmers only, please, salary in the 70k range)
BRIEF DESCRIPTION FOR JOB POSTING
To develop a system for the manipulation and analysis of microarray
data. The system will integrate database management, statistical
methodology and biologically relevant metadata.
Education and/or license: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or
equivalent
Experience Required: Experience with database programming/ design,
systems design, embedded languages, scripting languages, background in
biology or statistics, image analysis. Experience with C or C++
essential.
The job is in Boston and is posted at monster.com among other places.
R will be a major component and hence any experience in that regard
would be an asset.
I guess you might even think of it as a very well paying postdoc if
one wanted to do stat computing etc.
I'll be happy to answer questions but you need to apply through the
regular channels if interested.
Thanks.
