Can you tell us please where you read that in the docs, so we can
correct it? It is a completely separate graphics device, to be called
gtk() from 1.1.0 (and the X11-based x11() will also be available).

*one* pixel? I don't think you can expect one-pixel accuracy, not
least as where the centre of `*' is in the font used on my screen is
unclear to less than about half pixel. Accuracy to one pixel seems fine
on a screen device, provided it is consistent. You can expect greatest
accuracy on the hardcopy devices, where it may matter.

If you mean Lyndon Drake, he has moved and as far as we know is no
longer working on R.
