Could be feasible to use opus in real-time applications like multitrack recording (mobile recording and multi tracks) and music samplers (sample libraries), ideally reducing data size into a fraction while having the good level of quality and latency. And possibly open new opportunities in the web and mobile music making? Same thing used in the game development for sound effects, at the moment due to the massive load of multiple compressed files, it seems that standard pcm wave is the way to go for multiple small audio files at the same time, while music background are using mp3/ogg. Has Opus got enough potential in this area of application? Cheers, Nicolo -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [opus] (Opus) Real-time music and game application
