[Ocfs2-users] Not able to mount ocfs2 volume on remote node
Hi, I have installed and configured ocfs2 as per the given guidelines on two nodes. The output of the service status of o2cb and ocfs2 is as under: Node: rashida1 -------------------------------------------------- [root at rashida1 ~]# service o2cb status Driver for "configfs": Loaded Filesystem "configfs": Mounted Driver for "ocfs2_dlmfs": Loaded Filesystem "ocfs2_dlmfs": Mounted Checking O2CB cluster testcluster: Online Heartbeat dead threshold = 31 Network idle timeout: 30000 Network keepalive delay: 2000 Network reconnect delay: 2000 Checking O2CB heartbeat: Active [root at rashida1 ~]# service ocfs2 status Configured OCFS2 mountpoints: oracle Active OCFS2 mountpoints: /oracle -------------------------------------------------- Node: rashida2 -------------------------------------------------- [root at rashida2 ~]# service o2cb status Driver for "configfs": Loaded Filesystem "configfs": Mounted Driver for "ocfs2_dlmfs": Loaded Filesystem "ocfs2_dlmfs": Mounted Checking O2CB cluster testcluster: Online Heartbeat dead threshold = 31 Network idle timeout: 30000 Network keepalive delay: 2000 Network reconnect delay: 2000 Checking O2CB heartbeat: Not active [root at rashida2 ~]# service ocfs2 status -------------------------------------------------- Verified that the two nodes are able to communicate on port 7777. I formatted a volume /dev/sdb on node rashida1 as ocfs2 with module type as cluster. After mounting the volume on local node (rashida1), it is available on local node, but not visible on the remote node (rashida2). Node: rashida1 ------------------------------------- [root at rashida1 ~]# mounted.ocfs2 -f Device FS Nodes /dev/sdb ocfs2 rashida1 -------------------------------------- Node: rashida2 ------------------------------------- [root at rashida2 ~]# mounted.ocfs2 -f Device FS Nodes -------------------------------------- Why is the volume /dev/sdb of rashida1 not visible on node rashida2? Request help to resolve this issue. Thanks and Regards, Murtaza Doctor. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [Ocfs2-users] Not able to mount ocfs2 volume on remote node
Before ocfs2. Can both nodes see the same volume? Does the command "mounted.ocfs2 -d" on both nodes show the same volume? I believe you are using a local disk on rashida1 that rashida2 can't see. For ocfs2 to work, all nodes in the cluster must be able to have full access to the physical shared disk.
