Hello, I am using the linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-amd64 Debian kernel with OCFS2 "1.5.0" (at least, that's what results from dmesg[0]) and ocfs2tools 1.4.1 on Debian Lenny. From messages [1] and [2] on this list it seems to me that OCFS2 1.4 (kernel) should support quota, while ocfs2-tools 1.4.x don't. My question is: is there any chance I could manage to activate quotas with the 2.6.32 kernel in use? Thank you very much in advance, Best regards [0] dmesg: [ 16.877381] OCFS2 Node Manager 1.5.0 [ 16.883940] OCFS2 DLM 1.5.0 [ 16.912298] OCFS2 DLMFS 1.5.0 [...] [ 226.086398] OCFS2 1.5.0 [1] http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-users/2009-June/003651.html [2] http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-users/2010-March/004205.html
ocfs2-tools-1.6 will have support for it. It has not been released as yet. But you are free to build it for your use. http://oss.oracle.com/git/?p=ocfs2-tools.git;a=summary Redshift wrote:> Hello, > > I am using the linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-amd64 Debian kernel with OCFS2 > "1.5.0" (at least, that's what results from dmesg[0]) and ocfs2tools > 1.4.1 on Debian Lenny. > > From messages [1] and [2] on this list it seems to me that OCFS2 1.4 > (kernel) should support quota, while ocfs2-tools 1.4.x don't. > > My question is: is there any chance I could manage to activate quotas > with the 2.6.32 kernel in use? > > > Thank you very much in advance, > Best regards > > > [0] dmesg: > [ 16.877381] OCFS2 Node Manager 1.5.0 > [ 16.883940] OCFS2 DLM 1.5.0 > [ 16.912298] OCFS2 DLMFS 1.5.0 > [...] > [ 226.086398] OCFS2 1.5.0 > > [1] http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-users/2009-June/003651.html > > [2] http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-users/2010-March/004205.html > > > _______________________________________________ > Ocfs2-users mailing list > Ocfs2-users at oss.oracle.com > http://oss.oracle.com/mailman/listinfo/ocfs2-users >
