Just wanted to see if anyone has had the opportunity to expand a MetaLUN
on an EMC CLARiiON.
The O/S is Red Hat AS 2.1 running Oracle 9i RAC (4 node). The
filesystems are a series of LUNs combined into a MetaLUN that is
formatted and mounted as OCFS.
We are ready to expand a MetaLUN, but wanted to see if anyone has done
this "on the fly", ie: Expand the MetaLUNs while the systems are still
up, then reboot each server one by one and only have a "rolling"
outage
(instead of shutting all 4 nodes down, expanding the MetaLUN, then
bringing each node back up, thus creating a 100% outage).
