Lustre 1.2.2 has been released!
Lustre 1.2.2 contains a significant number of fixes over Lustre 1.2.1
and is a recommended update for anyone running earlier Lustre versions.
The most user-visible among them are:
- Allow users to set per-directory default striping values
- Fix data coherency bugs with concurrent write/truncate
- The blocks count is updated on clients for stat without revoking locks
- The atime is updated periodically on disk without significant overhead
- Linux 2.6 SuSE kernel support is significantly improved
- Support for the filesystem consistency checker, lfsck
- Many recovery fixes
A complete list can be found at http://www.clusterfs.com/changelog.html.
Lustre 1.2.2 is available now to customers with a current CFS support
contract, and will be made available to the general public later this
year. A link to the download page can be found at
http://www.clusterfs.com/lustre.html.
If you are interested in acquiring Lustre 1.2.2, you can purchase the
low-cost Lustre basic support package which provides a license to the
tools, a copy of the administration manual, discounts on classroom
training, and 10 hours of support, in addition to early access to the
