Help needed in Building lustre using pre-packaged releases
Hi,
Can anyone guide me in building the lustre using pre-packaged lustre release.I''m using Ubuntu 7.10 I want to build lustre using RHEL2.6 rpms available on my system.I''m referring how_to in wiki. but in that no detailed step by step procedure is given for building lustre using pre-packed release.
I''m in need of this.

Lustre Debug level
Hi,
Lustre manual 1.6 v18 says that that in production lustre debug level
should be set to fairly low. Manual also says that I can verify that
level by running following commands:
# sysctl portals.debug
This gives ne following error
error: ''portals.debug'' is an unknown key
cat /proc/sys/lnet/debug
gives output:

MPI-Blast + Lustre
Anyone have any experience with MpiBlast and Lustre. We have
MpiBlast-1.4.0-pio and lustre-1.6.3 and we are seeing some pretty
poor performance with most of the mpiblast threads spending 20% to
50% of their time in disk wait. We have the genbank nt database
split into 24 fragments (one for each of our OSTs, 3 per OSS). The
individual fragments are not striped due to the

Scalable Systems is pleased to annouce the availability of the Lustre
Roll for Rocks 4.1 (Preview Release).
The Lustre Roll contains the latest Lustre 1.4.6 version software
packaged to work with Rocks 4.1.
This is a *PREVIEW* release based on V1.4.6. The final and production
release which we will support officially will be based on V1.6.

lustre e2fsck corrupts files by changing i_size
Hello,
We have an IA64 cluster with 64K kernel page size and we use lustre
1.4.8.1 and e2fsprogs-1.39cfs8.
We meet the following problem :
1. I Create a Lustre file system, then start this file system and mount
it on a client node
2. On this client node, I copy 2 files in my /mnt/lustre
3. I umount Lustre file system on this client node then stop Lustre file
system
4. I use then :

Hi, After some hard trying to use lustre on our debian servers with an up2date kernel I decided to buy sles10 to make everything more comftable: I installed (rpm -i) the new kernelbinaries from 1.6.2/sles10-i686 to a sles10 test box (AMD64). When i try to install the modules form 1.6.2/sles10-i686 it says : sles2:/usr/src/lustre # rpm -i

Big litle endian issues in 1.6 beta 5
Hi All,
Attached is a proposed patch, which should solve some issues with mixed
endians. Unfortunately I was not able to access the latest code on the
CVS to see what other fixes might be there.
