[Logcheck-devel] Bug#253998: similiar problem over here
Similiar problem over here, I'm running testing. I'm using version 1.2.22a and it appears the chown to logcheck hasn't actually taken place. Thus the permission problems. I've fixed up the permissions are per the bugs suggestions and things appear to work. Hi Anand, Thanks for the verify. Do you happen to know which version you were running previous? (if any)? Also: how was this installed? Just apt-get upgrade? Any special circumstances on this machine? (if any)?Unfortunately I don't - we've been on testing for a while now. On Wed, Jun 30, 2004 at 06:49:28PM -0400, Todd Troxell wrote:> Also: how was this installed? My initial fix was to make the files within world readable because I was under the impression logcheck ran as root. Looking at the postinst I suspect the problem is that the compare-versions check might be too high.
