This is a huge savings of processor time, and a very reasonable thing to do... that being said, as far as I know Ices2 does not compile under win32. I started looking into this and didn't get too far before being distracted with something else..The first step is to get libshout to compile under win32 (it doesn't at the moment). libshout SHOULD run under win32, but it just has a few platform specific things that need to be ironed out. Once, libshout is done, then ices2 can be ported. The only thing that might be a problem is recording from live input. This will need a chunk of win32 specific code, but it's not terribly complicated. I, unfortunately, don't have the time to work on it now, but possibly in the future.... oddsock <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Under Linux you can use darkice, ices etc. Refer to the mailinglist-archives for looking up this whole thread from the beginning please :-) Stefan --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
