TDM400 and Phone does not 'ring'
...ring... ring-ring..., it
does 'ring-ri... ri.... ring... ri...)
and the 3rd one does not ring at all when Asterisk says 'Ringing Zap/6'.
However, when I do an 'off-hook' on this phone, I get tone signal and
can dial and talk perfectly.
I have phones compliant to the Belgium (Belgacom) Telco specs.
Are there differences in 'Ring Voltage' ?
Anyone with a suggestion ?
Thanks

traffic shapper
Hi folks!
Can I do traffic shaping by user?
In some docs I found, by device.
I wish to assign for example:
root : 2mb
user1: 1mb
user2: 1mb
Thanks in advance!

bad buffering
Hi all!
I installed icecast & ices (from CVS)
Enerything runs, but with some problems:
When I connect to the server (with XMMS or MPlayer)
the buffer runs empty very quickly, causing interruptions.
My "server" is an old Pentium 120 with 64MB RAM ,a HD of 8G and an
ethernet NIC.
(I know it isn't much, but I'm tired of taking my CD collection to
work.) I ripped the tracks in

masking problems in Vorbis beta?
Hi all,
I just came across the following page: http://r3mix.net
In the "News" section there is a fairly negative critique of Vorbis;
especially it is mentioned that Vorbis "has terrible masking
problems". There is also a Vorbis-encoded frequency sweep
which shows strong deficiencies at high frequencies, but
I suppose this is due to the quite low bitrate of the

Thanks in advance

SMS in Belgium
Hiya,
I've been doing some testing with SMS in Belgium (Belgacom), sending SMS
seems to work fine. (with .call file and a context that handles the sending)
The problem is however, receiving.. Hardware and software is quadBRI
from Junghanns, bristuff RC8h (asterisk 1.0.8), Debian 3.1.
For receiving SMS in asterisk, I am using:

Kernel is a Debian/Etch 2.6.17-4 amd64. We are using misdn1.1.2 with:
Asterisk SVN-branch-1.4-r62218 built by root @ SrvPhone on a x86_64
running Linux on 2007-05-05 13:42:13 UTC
Cards are setted in TE-PTP mode, 7 of the 8 ports are used. Telco is
Belgacom - Belgium. They checked lines and tell they are ok.
Thanks for any hint.
