That you are running the most current icecast (CVS) code ? 2. That you are running with icecast code that is un-modified in any way ? and also, which YP are you attempting to list on (the ones you say are not being listed) ? Also, are you listing on multiple YPs ? if so, which ones ? oddsock <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. My icecast server is behind a http proxy server, does anyone know of a program I can use to get icecast to send data to that will forward it to the yp dir? (I'm on linux btw) Oli --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. The problem that I stated was that Icecast2 is not announcing certain streams to the YP servers. Some examples of streams that are not getting announced include: http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/seattle-hifi.ogg http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/seattle-hifi.mp3 http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/seattle-lofi.mp3 http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-lofi.mp3 While other streams using the same server work just fine: http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-hifi.mp3 http://liveradio.indymedia.org:8001/sf-hifi.ogg Note that the sf-hifi.mp3 relay is comming from shoutcast, the sf-hifi.ogg is comming from Icecast2, all three SF's are comming from the same darkice process. There should be no difference in how Icecast handles them, but I have full debug turned on the YP server and these streams arent even getting announced to the YP server. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I'm just stating that the protocol hasn't changed as such, and hasn't been subject to changes as you seemed to believe was the case.> The problem that I stated was that Icecast2 is not announcing certain > streams to the YP servers. This is very unlikely to be related to the header mismatch. karl. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. [icecast] Winamp Metadata Update when live streaming from ices
Now my stream seems to be listing in the yp directory, I was hoping there was an easy fix to this issue I am having. My stream is only displaying the name of the mount point in Winamp, it is not showing the full description, genre etc etc. Is this another configuration issue in my ices xml? I've checked the doco and I can't see any other options I've missed.. <p><p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body.
