I don't know the answer, but here are suggestions to the limit of my knowledge: 1) Is your sound going in via Line In, or Mic In? 2) Do you get the noise when recording, using ANY software (just record a wav file with something)? If so, at least you know it's not a software issue. I don't know what else to suggest, but I think this information would help you (or anyone who tries to help you).
