This has been answered several times recently on this list!
2.4.10, .11 and .12 all include major changes to the way that the VM
and VFS work internally. We're trying to keep up, but testing has
already shown some of the internal ext3 code to be confused by the new
VM, and we don't want to publish official ext3 patches until we're
more confident that they might actually work.
You can get experimental ext3 code for the latest linus kernels from
the ext3 cvs repository, or you can use the ext3 updates for -ac
kernels in the mean time.
Cheers,
Stephen
