[Dovecot] help needed - dovecot-ldap authentication
I am trying to set a up mail server on a ubuntu edgy machine. I followed the howto at http://wanderingbarque.com/howtos/mailserver/mailserver.html . I am able to configure everything except dovecot-ldap authentication :(. After struggling with it for a week I decided to seek help. The current version of dovecot is v1.0 RC21 and the version used for the howto is v0.99.10.9. I installed & tried to configure both versions but none of them was able to authenticate a user from ldap. I noted some differences in syntax of the dovecot.conf files of both the versions. It seems that the ldap documentation at dovecot site is from the old version of dovecot ( I might be wrong on this!). So if anyone can tell me how to configure the current version of dovecot with openldap? Please help me! I am eagerly waiting for your response. And maybe you should give us more information about what your problems are. -- Udo Rader bestsolution.at EDV Systemhaus GmbH http://www.bestsolution.at
