[CentOS] VmWare Installation -- Where is C header directory, please?
Dear friends: Using Centos 5. I am trying to install the VmWare Server in my Centos 5 in order to install Windows XP. I am asked for the location of the C header files directory: "What is the location of the directory of C header files that match your running kernel? [/usr/src/linux/include]" I would very much appreciate your help. Please be precise. Thank you. Benjamin -- Sher's Russian Web http://www.websher.net Benjamin Sher sher07 at mindspring.com
Hi, I have an Asus terminator C3 with 512Mb. It has a Via P3-800Mhz CPU, with a VIA chipset. It's currently running FC6. I wanted to wipe the machine and install CentOS5. It boots from the CD to the linux prompt, then it fully loads vmlinux, then starts initrd.img, and somewhere at that point it reboots. I have tried: noapic, noapm, noprobe. Same, somewhere during initrd.img or at then end of it [it's half way through the dots on the second line] it reboots. What I don't understand is it works with FC6! Any suggestion? -- Thanks http://www.911networks.com When the network has to work

At least it does here. -- Lamar Owen Director of Information Technology Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute 1 PARI Drive Rosman, NC 28772 (828)862-5554 www.pari.edu
