I need a SCSI card to attach a tape library to my system. I am looking at the Adaptec 29320A-R. Can anyone confirm that this card will work with the stock CentOS 4 kernel? -- Bowie

Out of curiosity, what sort of and how many tape drives are in the library? -- Joshua Baker-LePain Department of Biomedical Engineering Duke University

It has 2 drives and 15 tapes. Hmmm... The LSI cards are quite a bit cheaper than the Adaptec cards. If they are good, I may go with one of those instead. The LSI00011-F card looks like it has what I need at about half the price of the Adaptec. Which cards are you using? -- Bowie
We are using a Adaptec 39320A PCIe with a Dell PowerEdge 2950 server. Using with a Dell PowerVault tape changer and TSM. graham -----Original Message----- From: centos-bounces at centos.org [mailto:centos-bounces at centos.org] On Behalf Of Bowie Bailey Sent: Tuesday, February 06, 2007 10:06 AM To: CentOS mailing list (E-mail) Subject: [CentOS] Adaptec 29320 I need a SCSI card to attach a tape library to my system. I only need one channel. The two drives in the library will be attached to two separate machines. -- Bowie
