So I'd like to transfer the "Print and File sharing" to the CentOS box. I found this http://samba.idealx.org/smbldap-howto.en.html but I wonder if someone has a better (or simpler) idea. I just want to transfer the data from the win2k machine to the CentOS, and ideally have nothing to do on the client configuration. The goal is to reduce the load on the win2k machine, which is a compaq dual PIII 1.3, 2 GB RAM, 10K SCSI disks Raid 5. TIA -- Ugo -> Please don't send a copy of your reply by e-mail. You can configure samba to be a domain member server http://ca.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/domain-member.html#ads-member you don't have to use ldap just kerberos Jeff>>> ugob at camo-route.com 7/27/2005 1:31 PM >>>Carlos Arellano wrote:> Use samba is easy think to do.. http://us4.samba.org/samba/I know, but I don't want to manage users on 2 servers... What helps with that? Winbind? -- Ugo -> Please don't send a copy of your reply by e-mail.
