Hi! I've went through the READMEs and could not answer this question: During installation, the Setup program asks: Would you like update/upgrade wanpipe drivers? (y/n) For a pure Asterisk TDM installation - is it required to patch the kernel or is this only when using the sangoma cards as WAN router? regards klaus
Klaus, As far as I've been told, yes, you do need to compile the kernel modules (even if it's just TDM functionality). [Asterisk-Users] sangoma A102 installation question
Hi Klaus, Yes, you will need to patch the kernel to run the Sangoma cards in TDM Voice mode. You do not have to patch the kernel SOURCES - this step is optional. If you do not patch the kernel SOURCES, the wanpipe installer still compiles the required modules and copy them into the respective /lib/modules/... directory. My Asterisk server is running fine with an A102 and there were no kernel SOURCES installed during wanpipe installation. regards klaus> > David Yat Sin > Sangoma Technologies > (905) 474 1990 x119 > (800) 388 2475 x199 > MSN: david.ys1@hotmail.com > Email: davidy@sangoma.com > Wiki: http://sangoma.editme.com > > >> Message: 2 >> Date: Thu, 11 May 2006 21:22:39 +0200 >> From: Klaus Darilion <klaus.mailinglists@pernau.at> >> Subject: [Asterisk-Users] sangoma A102 installation question >> To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion >> <asterisk-users@lists.digium.com> >> Message-ID: <44638EFF.6050604@pernau.at> >> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed >> >> Hi! >> >> I've went through the READMEs and could not answer this question: >> >> During installation, the Setup program asks: >> Would you like update/upgrade wanpipe drivers?
