[Asterisk-Users] Compatible Asterisk Connectivity Cards : Sangoma
Hello List! I wanted to share to everyone the following compatible connectivity products that my company installed in our Asterisk based soft switch. I already sent these to the Asterisk.org site many days ago but for some reason they still have to post it. 1. Sangoma A101 single port E1/T1/PRI Card 2. Sangoma A102 dual port E1/T1/PRI Card 3. Sangoma A104 quad port E1/T1/PRI Card 4. Sangoma A104D quad port E1/T1/PRI Card 5. Sangoma A200 FXS/FXO Series Above products will work with any commercially available motherboard in the market. This we have proven true because we have at least 5 different servers that we have installed them to. And take note of their on-board echo cancellers, simply works superb! I hope the above helps especially to those who're just starting with Asterisks. Can anyone from Asterisk.Org please have the above posted? Thanks. How much money has Sangoma give to Asterisk for code developing? I'm interested in this because buying card, I would like to be sure I'm helping developing Asterisk. Company I work for will buy card which I choose. I don't care does it cost a little bit more if it's that what it takes to make * better and my job a little more easier. P.S. Just trying to help -- Tomislav Parcina tparcina#lama.hr

[Asterisk-Users] Compatible Asterisk Connectivity Cards : Sangoma
G'day Heidi, You have to remember that Digium is a direct competitor to Sangoma and they will take as much time as they can to post praise of their competitor's hardware. This is where OpenPBX is gaining hweadway - a truly open source PBX. Oh, and I run Asterisk here, not OpenPBX (at this point in time, but I'm keeping a close eye on OpenPBX development.) -- Regards, Hilton Travis Phone: +61 (0)7 3344 3889 (Brisbane, Australia) Phone: +61 (0)419 792 394 Manager, Quark IT http://www.quarkit.com.au Quark AudioVisual http://www.quarkav.net http://www.threatcode.com/ <-- its now time to shame poor coders into writing code that is acceptable for use on today's networks War doesn't determine who is right. (Some of that should be changing shortly.)I'm not a code writer and probably I'll newer will be. I'm earning money implementing Asterisk. Hopefully I'll earn even more money in coming years. So, since I can't help coding, I'll help the way I can. Buying products from company that is sponsoring Asterisk. The more money they give to Asterisk, it's bigger possibility that I'll buy their product. Simply as that. And that is why I asked have they supported Asterisk. -- Tomislav Parcina tparcina#lama.hr

[Asterisk-Users] Compatible Asterisk Connectivity Cards : Sangoma
I've never had issue with the Digium cards in testing and as we're looking forward to production systems what compelling reason do I have to pick Sangoma? (I'm not looking for a flame-fest here, but actual compelling reasons, ie Sangoma cards support foo which is needed in situation bar and Digium doesn't support foo/isn't planning to support foo until their next line of cards comes out). (I'm not looking for a flame-fest here, butNever used either card myself but Sangoma is supposed to have the by far better echo can hardware. 128tap per channel and not per card/span/whatever. Look in the archives. Many people claim they had echo problems they were not able to solve with Digium hardware that simply went away the moment they used Sangoma. I also love my S518, and would love it more if it was available as an option on the FXO module for the A200. Then I wouldn't have to choose between internet connectivity or POTS connectivity on SFF systems that I like to use for PBX/firewall devices in a SoHo. Dan

Not only would you have DSL, but you would have your emergency phone line AND a dialin modem and/or FaxModem. Hell you can get complete 2400-baud and 14k4-baud modems in a pair of ICs these days... might be worth slapping on as a module... -A.
