I'm having lots of problems with sipura spa1001's and spa2002's.
Asterisk
claims they are busy when they aren't. Other times, it claims to be ringing
them, but they aren't really ringing. I have done the following to try to
resolve the problem:
1) I upgraded all my spa1001's and 2002's to their latest
firmware (3.1.5). This lessened, but did not resolve completely the
problem.
2) I checked to make sure that asterisk is current. It at
version 1.0.9
3) I changed the registration period down to 180 seconds on
the sip devices. I can't tell whether this helped or not. Then I did this,
which seems to have the biggest effect:
4) I put a reboot of the computer in /etc/cron.daily. This
seems to do the trick. Just doing a restart of asterisk doesn't solve the
problem.
My theory is that a reboot, which takes 5 minutes, is just long enough to
force the sip devices to realize that they need to reset themselves somehow.
Once they do so, they then re-register and answer ok.
My provider, junction networks, claims the sip debug log shows normal calls
in both cases. The logs are reproduced below. Here is their assessment:

This guy is showing your problem. Maybe you can e-mail him to see what
he did. The suggestion later in the thread is a firmware upgrade.
our noc looked at the files. They look completely normal. The sipura
is sending back to your asterisk box "trying" and "ringing".
At those
times, there is no reason the phones should not be ringing. Can you try
to pick up the phone and see if it answers. That means that everything
is working except that the sipura device is not telling the phone to
ring, but the signal is actually at the sipura device.
