CRAN testing
Is the mechanism by which packages are tested on CRAN described
anywhere? Is it by any chance written in R? The FastR
<https://bitbucket.org/allr/fastr/wiki/Home> team is interested in
running a virtual CRAN where we can test all the CRAN packages on FastR.
Thanks

inconsistent error messages on Mac OS X
Hi All,
I am one of the contributors to the FastR project (
https://bitbucket.org/allr <https://bitbucket.org/allr.>) and I have
encountered an interesting issue when trying to implement vector accesses
within FastR. I am trying to understand what kind of error message should
be generated for the following expression:
x<-1:4; x[[1]]<-NULL; x
In order to determine the error message,

multiple versions
Can anyone suggest a good way to handle multiple versions of R
and also other tools like gcc and perl (in Unix). I have been
using soft links from my personal bin to the version I want to
use, but this has some drawbacks. With this scheme it is
difficult to run different versions of R in different windows,
and use of gcc appears to be complicated in several respects when

Interface with NEC NEAX 2400
Is there anyone out there who has tried to connect up an asterisk box to make and take calls through a NEC NEAX 2400 using Q.sig or anything like it? Can anyone tell me if it is possible?
Thanks in advance,

Windows XP disconnect from SCO/Unix Server
...thought is it has to be
within the Samba that is causing my problem.
Has anyone run into this kind of problem, if so, what have you done to
correct it? I am going to be adding numerous more XP machines to my network
and I can't have this continue to happen.

Problems with sipura 1001's and 2002's
I'm having lots of problems with sipura spa1001's and spa2002's. Asterisk
claims they are busy when they aren't. Other times, it claims to be ringing
them, but they aren't really ringing. I have done the following to try to
resolve the problem:
1) I upgraded all my spa1001's and 2002's to their latest
firmware (3.1.5). This lessened, but did not resolve
