Hey - I know there's some other people out there that have the 9133i ... has anyone gotten the DTMF tones to work after the far side picks up? I didn't have any problems out of the box with my SPA-841 phones... the aastra has been nicer so far, but I can't seem to get it to dial the touch tones after an auto-answer device picks up on the far side... I googled, to no avail. -Karl Katzke
It has worked ok for me. Do you have the 'dtmfmode=rfc2833' line in the sip config for the 9133i extension? -----Original Message----- From: Karl S. Karl - Try setting the parameter "Live Dialpad" to "on" to fix this issue. This is option 6 on the physical menu on the telephone or you can set it through the <mac>.cfg file on your TFTP server. I'm using the 9133i's without that issue regardless of the live dialpad setting. I have a combination of analog and SIP trunking and it seems to work alright either way. I'm also using the RFC2833 signalling on trunks and phones. Also, check to be sure you have the latest firmware from the http://www.aastra.com/support/enterpriseip/show_downloads.asp site which is currently at 1.2.1 for August 2005. Good luck! Here is the relevant portion of my sip.conf. Just made a call and used DTMF menu navigation without any problems on my 9133i with 1.2.1.1002 firmware. Live Dialpad on or off does not make a difference. I know that dtmfmode definitely does. I also tried setting live dialpad to on, and neither worked. I also upgraded my firmware to the most recent (August 05) release.
