Hello All, My system is built on a dual Athlon box using Redhat 9. From time to time there are problems with the phone system that are hard top track down and sseem to be resolved with just a simple reboot. I read somewhere that Linux loves teh Intel platform and that on AMD it is not as good. Is this true or just hooey? If so, would I get more reliability by dumping the AMD box in favor of an Intel basec box? Thanks, Wiley -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Hi, I am running Asterisk on a dual AMD Opteron server running Redhat Enteprise ES 3.0 and I've had no reliability problems at all. I am on a Tyan Mobo BTW and my version of Redhat is plain jane Redhat 9. The Tyan Thunder K7 mobo on a 760MP chipset is where the question probably lies. Opteron... Oh, the dream.... Were it but so.... 8) Thanks, W ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Gabriel Afana Sent: Thursday, February 10, 2005 11:42 AM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk on RedHat/AMD Hi, I am running Asterisk on a dual AMD Opteron server running Redhat Enteprise ES 3.0 and I've had no reliability problems at all.
