[Asterisk-Users] iaxy to iaxy call drops out of "show channels"
I place a call from an IAXY to an IAXY device. INitially the calls show in the output of "show channels". Then after a few seconds the "show channels" command shows 0 active channels even though I am still talking on the channels. Any ideas on this? THanks, Jerry

IAX has a mechanism to do this just like REINVITE in SIP. Once the call is setup * connects the two end points directly and takes itself out of the call path. This happens as long as * is not required to transcode between codecs or protocols. Also, there is a parameter for IAX.CONF called NOTRANSFER= that can user enable/disable such things on a per peer basis.
