Just an FYI FireFly no longer works with anything but the FireFly network. No more SIP, No more IAX. It was a damn good IAX client... too bad its crap now. bkw

[Asterisk-Users] FireFly doesn't work with 3rd party anymore
Someone on IRC pointed that out to me last Thursday. I sent an e-mail to Virbiage asking about it, but they have not responded. I too like the Firefly client, and have been looking forward to seeing their hardware IAX phone. But this now makes me wonder if they will have their hard phone locked to their network too. However, you can also use Firefly as a SIP or IAX client on your own network. Is that in a new rev of software? I have v1.4 and I LOVE it! Best soft phone I've ever used. Would be a pity if they closed it down to only their service. Totally wrongheaded in todays world.
