I love how he neglects the fact that security of a standard analog line is so great induction on some lines lets you listen to everyone else on the block's phone conversation. With no work and without even wanting to.>>>jfinley@prcontrol.com 05/14 3:36 am >>>>-----Original Message----->From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com[mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of >>>brian k. west>Sent: Friday, May 14, 2004 11:24 AM >To: asterisk-dev@lists.digium.com >Cc: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com >Subject: [Asterisk-Users] OMG THE SKY IS FALLING!! while it is true that there are other insecure systems and protocols, we should not use that as an excuse for the fact that sip/rtp are pretty damned insecure. and the current ietf approach is to complicate them so much that no one will ever be able to have any confidence that an implementation is reasonably secure or not. randy
The gun issue highlights the absurd nature of Louderback's "opinions". -----Original Message----- From: Steve Totaro [mailto:asterisk@totarotechnologies.com] Sent: Friday, May 14, 2004 3:20 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] OMG THE SKY IS FALLING!!
