Intel 537ep
Owias, The 537 is, for the most part, a drop-in replacement for the Digium card. Please search the archive and the Wiki, as there have recently been several discussions about this exact subject. To my knowledge that is about the only modem that works, but keep in mind it is _not_ supported. That being said, follow the instructions on Digium's site for installing the X100P and you should be

ztcfg and Aastra 390 phones
I am wandering if anyone can explain this unusual scenario. I am running Asterisk on Fedora. After the box boots, I run insmod wcfxs at a command line. The phones keep the red message light on and are in a state like they are not recognized yet. If I then run the command ztcfg, I don't get anything after the command, meaning that everything should be OK in zapata and zaptel confs and the

I am completely new to * ( I know read the archives but this is a little different case) I am trying to setup a Sip system out side my security firewalls for home users. I currently run a Cisco avvid solution internally but it's highly firwalled. I am planning on building a pri out of my 3745 cisco router and pluging it in to a 3810 which is on the outside setup with sip and running a *

Certification (was RE: realpath(3) et al)
Just saw this from eWeek. "IBM, which paid roughly $500,000 for the testing, and SuSE (pronounced "SOOS-ah") were announcing the certification jointly. VoiceTronix V4PCI and Digium TDM40B together
I am really struggling getting Asterisk up and running utilizing these two cards. Has anyone had success with this combination? If so, would you be ever so kind to submit sample vpb.conf,zaptel.conf,zapata.conf and extension.conf files??? With great thanks, Ronald R. Asterisk VS. Skype
This might have been talked about before, but I'm posting anyhow. I've got down to testing Asterisk yesterday, and I couldn't help but compare it with Skype (a Windoze only product, yet, but extremely efficient for some reason). Skype has almost unperceptible delay (LAN), while there is almost half a second of delay regardless of the codec on Asterisk. An even if we were to

Re: VoiceTronix Openline 4
Ron, VoiceTronix worked with me last week and backported the new chan_vpb that's in the current HEAD CVS tree to the 1.0 stable branch. So if you are using 0.7.2 or 0.9.0 you can go to the VoiceTronix website now (note that this is very new) and download an Asterisk package. When you download it there is an new chan_vpb.c that needs to be put in your asterisk source code tree. Also there

Newbie Setting up Voicetronix OpenLine4
Is anyone using the VoiceTronic Openline4 PCI (fxo) card? I am trying to setup Asterisk using a Digium 40B (4 port fxs) and an OpenLine4 (4 port fxo), however I can't find any examples or post that utilize this card. I have my stations (Sayson 390) ringing each other, but haven't had any success ringing out. I have the OpenLine4 loaded and all of the new drivers working good, just

[LLVMdev] Extending AsmPrinterHandler
I work on the LLILC team, and we are trying to send debug line info through to the CoreCLR EE without using an EventListener because we need to send extra info (more than just available in DebugLoc) like if it’s a call instruction, a call site, etc. We thought extending AsmPrinterHandler would be useful since it seems to have information about debug locations, label offsets, and instruction

[OT] OMG Verizon is terrible
Had an appointment for these schmoes to come out and install another line. Was supposed to be 8-12. Its now 6PM and not even call. Missed 3 sales calls waiting on these jerks. No wonder customers were jumping ship to Vonage. -- Warm Regards, Lee

fixed point conversion volunteer (OMG what am I doing?)
I'm willing to contribute some time to converting speex to fixed point. I'm not doing this for a particular product and I will receive nothing but some warm fuzzy feelings for "giving back to the community". Consequently, I don't want to do it all myself. So ... is anyone else currently working on this? Splitting the work into chunks should allow more people to write code

[LLVMdev] Extending AsmPrinterHandler
(background) The CoreCLR expects a JIT to produce a MSIL bytecode offset to code offset mapping annotated with a few extra bits denoting if it’s prolog/epilog, or it’s a call, or if there’s operands remaining on the MSIL virtual stack in some cases. Our initial prototype has the MSIL offset stashed in the line number field. We could stash the extra bits in the column info but that’s starting to
