[Asterisk-Users] Asterisk against 3 Com NBX 100 and Siemens HiPath 3700/3750
My new company is going to enter a bid competing with 3Com and Siemens solutions from others. Voice service is a PRI T-1 with a block of 100 DID numbers, a second T1 that will carry Integrated voice/data, 12 voice/768K for redundency. I asked this a week or two ago, now I have more details. Best/$ channel banks that work with Asterisk and Best deal on phones... 16 business, 34 basic IP phones, attendant console? Think we can beat 3Com and Siemens??? -- Mark Street, D.C. Mark, My experience with Siemens is that they are very expensive. Both units have a "name " in the industry. Your solution is "different". Your competition will beat the hell out of that fact your different, don't have backing, blah, blah, blah. Now you need to sell the concept that there are more people working on design and programming for your solution than theirs(continuing design which is easily implemented). Your package "includes" Voice mail. Don't split it out. The others have it as an additional component. Sell the benefits. Ask people here for working solutions that your customer may call upon for a "warm fuzzy" before they purchase your solution. <snip>Think we can beat 3Com and Siemens???<snip> Forget about them, the concept of Asterisk needs to be sold to the customer before you can sell the telephone system to the customer. As far as the component questions below there are far more qualified people here to answer those questions. Good Luck and let us know the outcome.
