Hello, I'm new and just joined this list and have few questions about Asterisks features. I'm trying to setup Linux PC controlled single phone line, at home, using LineJack but not sure if Asterisks will be able to do what I want. I did look for an answer in archives but want to clarify some of the answers and to see if anyone done this. I'm not familiar with all phone related technical words, so I'll just try my best. I live in US and wanted to see if I could do this: -- Forward Caller ID (CID) info(including call waiting ID) to local line from outside analog line. -- Log dialed numbers and CID info -- Block calls based on CID info on outside analog line or enable specific menu system when specific CID info received -- Be able to record all, incoming and outgoing calls, including internet based calls (Ive read there was patch for this feature but not sure if I still need it when using latest version of Asterisk or will it do what I want) -- When outside line is used for Dialup and local line phone picked up, the user would get either busy signal and/or specific message would be played without affecting outside line. -- Block inside line from using outside analog line when needed, like when waiting for incoming fax. -- Dial 9 or specific code when making internet based call -- Forcibly interrupt/cut off call in progress, internet based or outside analog, when specific call waiting ID received on outside analog line -- Enable answer machine when no one picks up phone in specific time period on local phone line -- place calls on hold using specific key, like # or * I want to see if Asterisks will do what I want or if I should look somewhere else or build it myself. There might be something else I would like it to do but cant think of it right now, if you know any of those features possible or not possible, please let me know. Thank you in advance for any help. --Vlad -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
