[R] EEG, ERP, ERF analysis with boot or bootstrap package
Does anyone have experience in using boot or bootstrap for ERP data analysis? Event-related potentials (ERPs) are electrical recordings from the human scalp during the presentation of stimulus events. They are a timeseries with msec resolution. They are essentially a timeseries that are defined relative to an event onset. They contain data prior to the event and after the event. They might be considered similar to a stock-market timeseries, defined in relation to some socio-political event. I want to evaluate whether a group of points after the event are significantly different from all the points before the event. There are several publications on using randomization or bootstrap analysis to do this. I wonder if the packages in R called boot and bootstrap can be used for this purpose.
