R help - May 2004 - bar plot patterns

Dear R users,

Is there a package or function that can produce multiple fill patterns to be
used instead of colors in barplots or pie charts? Shades of grey are difficult
to differentiate if more than 3 to 5..

Install the RColorBrewer package.  Have a look at rcolorbrewer.org for
helpful advice on color schemes and their usage.

You may also find the density= parameter useful for shading areas in
plots, available in many plotting functions.
