R help - Oct 2003 - Scheme and R

I have been using a product called rpy to allow me to access R from
Python.  I was wondering if anybody know if a similar product for
Scheme.

The closest thing I know is a link to XLisp:
http://www.omegahat.org/RXLisp/index.html.

XLisp is syntactically much closer to Common Lisp than to Scheme,
but maybe you can live with that.
